September 2021 - Firearms Instructor School:  I have been through many courses in my 15 years as an instructor. This is the 1st that has challenged me and pushed me and my abilities, mentally and physically. This is the 1st course since my initial cert in 2006, where I didn't get a perfect score. I was more than capable however the course of fire challenged me enough where I was not successful in that regard. I enjoyed everything.

August 2021 - AR-15 Armorer School:  I have attended several other armorers courses, and I learned the most from this one. Part swapping is easy. But truly learning and understanding the function in this course and applying it to better diagnose the rifles was invaluable. That's what I gained from this course.

August 2020- Firearms Instructor (Pistol & Patrol Rifle) 7 Day School:

Mr. Felts,

I am writing to express my sincere thanks for the opportunity to attend CMI's firearms instructor school last week.  I received the Top Gun award at my basic patrol rifle operator school last fall and used it to go through the firearms instructor school.  Without it, I doubt I would have been able to convince my department to send me (and my wife surely would not have approved of me writing a check).  The training was great, and I know I walked away a better shooter and gunfighter, as well as a better instructor.  I have been a firearms instructor for the DNR/Law Enforcement Division since 2017.  I have done a few different things in this department, but my favorite by far is training our officers to be better gunfighters so they can protect themselves and others when the day comes that somebody tries to murder them. 

This is my second class with Rob Donaldson, and you certainly have a top shelf instructor in him.  I will go out of my way in the future to train with him.  Rob possesses a wealth of knowledge on shooting and gunfighting.  He also has the real-world experience and down to earth personality to relate that knowledge to what we do as patrol officers.  Even though some of those days got long and hot, Rob did an excellent job all week.  Thanks agian

Thank you for running such a professional outfit. I have been fortunate to attend a ton of training over the years and this class was top notch. The class material was great and the ratio of classroom to range time was perfect. Mike won the class over from the very beginning. I would be incredibly surprised if anyone reported a negative experience. Mike held us to the standards while keeping things fun. The trip to Center Mass, Inc. was great. The CAPS system was amazing and I got to shoot night vision for the first time. Invaluable.

I drove from Florida 15.5 hours one way to attend this class. I also had an hour and fifteen-minute commute each morning and evening to and from where I was staying with my brother. I can tell you all that driving would have made for a miserable experience had this not been such a great class.
